Vince Hodges - Founder
Vince is a business minded developer who has been developing software for 30 years. He started Pennyminder to help banks and credit unions help people understand their finances better. Prior to staring Pennyminder, Vince worked in a number of different industries ranging from Gas & Oil to music sharing which gives him the broad experience base to architect and build world class solutions.
In the past, Vince and John worked together at TVI Interactive Systems where they both worked with Vancity to build the Member Direct online banking system, which is now used by over 220 credit unions across Canada.
E. John Love - Product Manager
Before working with Pennyminder, John was active for over 20 years as an all-round creative person for numerous high-tech companies. He's been an art director, gui designer, graphic artist, web designer and technical writer. He's contributed to marketing campaigns, designed user-centred design strategies, and refined software test plans. He loves keeping one foot in the arts and the other one in technology.
John has a diploma in Fine Arts from Emily Carr University, and continues to take an active interest in art, culture and new media. He blogs and tweets compulsively on a wide variety of subjects.
Martin Ertl - Advisor
Martin is an entrepreneur and lawyer, and loves leading big changes. His current focus is on Contractually a web startup to make life easier for everyone who has to deal with contracts. Martin previously co-founded Navarik to provide web-based cargo inspection software for global oil producers. Martin also practised law at Davis LLP, a full-service national law firm. He holds a B.Sc. in physics from UBC and a law degree with distinction from McGill. He likes his beer brewed in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot.
